Exporting produce interstate

When exporting produce to other states and territories within Australia you must meet interstate plant quarantine entry requirements.

Verification that the requirements have been met is achieved through Plant Health Certification that must accompany the consignment.

There are two types of Plant Health Certification available:

State's entry requirements/ Interstate Regulations:

The Interstate Certification Assurance (ICA) Scheme is a national plant health certification scheme accepted by all States and the Northern Territory. ICA provides an alternative to traditional plant health certification that involved PIRSA inspectors supervising treatments and/ or inspecting produce and issuing Plant Health Certificates for the interstate movement of produce.
