There are limitations on stock movement between States and also documentary requirements that need to be met.
Health Certificates may be required for moving stock into South Australia, and for moving stock interstate.
There are currently no movement requirements or certification required for horses moving from interstate into SA. Livestock (including horses) affected or suspected of being affected with a notifiable disease may not enter the State unless authorised by the SA Chief Inspector of Stock.
For more information see PIRSA's Equine Influenza Response site.
