Louth Bay (Outer) Aquaculture Zone Tenure Release

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals/companies to undertake the farming of aquatic animals other than prescribed wild caught tuna in the Louth Bay (outer) aquaculture zone.  A total of 85 Ha will be made available.  A maximum of 35 Ha for the farming of bivalve molluscs can be applied for.  Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form and should demonstrate the technical, commercial and financial capabilities of the applicant to operate the sites selected, as well as ensure the proposed farm meets the policy objectives of the Zone Policy.  Information documents, the a copy of the application form and links to the Aquaculture (Zones - Lower Eyre Peninsula No. 2) Policy and other supporting documents can be found here.

Outer Arno Bay Aquaculture Zone

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals/companies to undertake finfish farming in the Outer Arno Bay Aquaculture Zone.  A total of 80 Ha will be made available.  Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form and should demonstrate the technical, commercial and financial capabilities of the applicant to operate the sites selected, as well as ensure the proposed farm meets the policy objectives of the Zone Policy.  Information documents, the a copy of the application form and links to the Arno Bay Aquaculture Management Policy and other supporting documents can be found here.

Anxious Bay Tenure Release

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals/companies to undertake the farming of molluscs other than mussels and oysters in the Anxious Bay aquaculture zone.  A total of 20 Ha will be made available.   Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form and should demonstrate the technical, commercial and financial capabilities of the applicant to operate the sites selected, as well as ensure the proposed farm meets the policy objectives of the Zone Policy.  Information documents, the a copy of the application form and links to the Aquaculture (Zones - Anxious Bay) Policy 2007 and other supporting documents can be found here.

Boston Bay Sector Tenure Release

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals/companies to undertake aquaculture  activities involving the farming of aquatic animals in a manner that involves regular feeding in the Boston Bay Sector.  A total of 20 Ha will be made  available.  Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form and should demonstrate the technical, commercial and financial capabilities of the  applicant to operate the sites selected, as well as ensure the proposed farm meets the policy objectives of the Zone Policy.Information documents, the a copy of the application form and links to the Aquaculture (Zones - Lower Eyre Peninsula No. 2) Policy and other supporting documents can be found here.'

Aquaculture Public Register

The Aquaculture Public Register is the one stop shop for current aquaculture licence and lease information. It contains licence/lease templates, holder and species details for all aquaculture licences/leases, site coordinates for all licences/leases, aquaculture spatial data for GIS users, a link to the Atlas of South Australia website, and a document detailing the escapes of yellowtail kingfish in South Australia.
