The Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals/companies to undertake the farming of aquatic animals other than prescribed wild caught tuna in the Louth Bay (outer) aquaculture zone. A total of 85 Ha will be made available. A maximum of 35 Ha for the farming of bivalve molluscs can be applied for. Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form and should demonstrate the technical, commercial and financial capabilities of the applicant to operate the sites selected, as well as ensure the proposed farm meets the policy objectives of the Zone Policy.
