When you hear ‘Scientist’ do you picture a man in a lab-coat with glasses hunkered down in a lab beavering away on some obscure research? The Women of Waite want to bust this stereotype and give you a glimpse into what the realities, challenges and benefits of exactly what a working scientist is and does.
As part of National Science Week 2018, meet a panel of awesome female researchers from the Waite Research Precinct who represent different career stages and hear them talk about their research, career path, achievements and challenges of being a female scientist, including:
- Dr Kathy Ophel Keller (SARDI)
- Dr Anna Koltunow (CSIRO Agriculture & Food)
- Dr Jacqui McRae (AWRI)
- Dr Allison Pearson (University of Adelaide)
- Jana Phan (University of Adelaide)
When: Thursday 16 August 2018, 6pm – 8.30pm
Where: Lirra Lirra, Waite Campus
This free event is now open for online registrations.
We hope to see you there!
