Bulletins – Series 1

Published 1905–1969

Bulletins were extension publications covering a wide range of technical topics (often in a significant level of detail) targeting farmers, agribusiness and home maker audiences. Many of these Bulletins were also republished as articles in the monthly Journal of Agriculture magazine. Bulletins were published in two series:

  • An initial sequentially numbered series of 481 Bulletins which commenced in 1905 (when the Department of Agriculture was formally established) and continued until 1969 (see Series 1)
  • A second series published between 1972 and 1998 using a Bulletin number plus year of publication numbering system (see Series 2).

The full range of Series 1 Bulletin topics published between 1905 and 1969 are listed below. Copies of these are held at the Woolhouse Library at the Waite.
